Behavioral health intervention Services

Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) includes services designed to help reduce psychological, behavioral, emotional, and other symptoms of mental health disorders. Our BHIS workers will meet with the client and family twice a week in the comfort of your own home or in the office. 

BHIS is available for Iowa Medicaid members: children and adolescents (K-12), student athletes, and those transition with middle and high school with a Mental Health Diagnosis.

The main focus of the BHIS sessions will be to gain skills in the following categories: 

  • Communication

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Executive

  • Interpersonal Relationship

  • Problem-solving

  • Social

  • Cognitive Flexibility
